Venture Academy

A one-day event aimed at developing venture-backed and early-stage entrepreneurs and preparing them effectively for meetings and negotiations with venture capital or corporate investors.

Experienced coaches from the relevant industry areas will work very pragmatically with the presenters to prepare them for their participation at the Networking & Partnering Day.

  • Receive direct feedback on the strategic strengths & weaknesses
  • Gain insight into how venture capitalists and other investors would perceive your business
  • Sharpen your basic company presentation
  • Sharpen your elevator pitch

Format:

  • Not open to the public (upon invitation only)
  • 5-6 entrepreneurs present their projects in front of 5-6 experts (eg. VCs, Advisors, Angels etc.)
  • Each presentation is allocated exactly 15 minutes (7 minutes for the presentation and 8 minutes for Q & As)
  • The entrepreneur is given constructive feedback by the experts
  • Individual coaching follows
  • The entrepreneur improves his/her presentation based on the feedback received
  • Second round of presentations

Who are the coaches?

  •     Independent Coaches: consultants able to personally provide advisory services

          o Ex venture capital managers
          o Ex entrepreneurs
          o Ex advisors
             

  •     Advisory Coaches from established advisory practices

          o Consultants from larger or specialised consulting/ accounting firms
          o Head-hunters or interim managers
          o M&A advisors or investment bankers

What does it cost?

Participation for all involved in the Venture Academy is free of cost. Nevertheless, it is exclusively for the selected companies.  Spaces are limited so we suggest presenting companies RSVP as soon as confirmation of selection is received.
