Tech Tour Circular 2024: Showcasing the Future of Sustainability with Leading Innovators

Participating investors have contributed in the past to well over €100 Billion in total investments.

The Tech Tour Circular 2024 Programme has recently released its list of 40 companies offering innovative solutions in the circular economy. These companies were selected by a Selection Panel comprising over 60 active investors, based on their promising technologies and potential identified from a large pool of applicants using a collaborative scouting and review process. The inaugural edition of the programme aims to support the growth and development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as larger companies by facilitating investments. Key insights

Investor commitment: The investors involved in the programme have collectively made 2,000+ past investments, totalling €108.4 Billion. They include 76% investment funds and 24% corporates.

Companies funding: The selected companies historically have already received more than 140 investments from 66 different investors.

Top countries by selected companies: The companies chosen for the programme exhibit a broad European distribution, with Belgium leading by hosting 10 companies. Germany and the Netherlands follow with 6 and 5 companies, respectively, while France contributes 3 companies. This underlines the geographical diversity of the companies involved.

Most represented subsectors: The companies are primarily distributed across key subsectors, with energy making up 33%. Food, real estate and health each account for 14% of the selected companies.

The selected companies are set to present at the live event scheduled for 23-24 April 2024 in Ghent, where they will pitch their sustainable solutions reshaping industries to an audience of high-profile investors and industry experts.

The programme is co-organised with the Bio-Based Industries Consortium and partnered with Stad Ghent, Ghent University, Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT), North Sea Port, PMV, and the Global Entrepreneurship Center.
