Tech Tour Launches Second Edition of Sustainable Construction Programme

Following the success of its inaugural edition, Tech Tour has announced the launch of Tech Tour Sustainable Construction 2024. This programme aims to foster investments and partnerships within the construction sector, specifically targeting four key subsectors: sustainable building materials, circularity, efficient new construction and renovation methods, and digitalisation.

Spanning six months, the programme will select 30 promising companies seeking seed, Series A and B investments, or strategic partnerships. These companies will be chosen from a large pool of applicants by a Selection Panel composed of venture capital and corporate investors, using a collaborative scouting and review methodology.

Participating entrepreneurs will benefit from an online academy where industry experts will provide feedback on pitch decks and presentation skills. The programme will culminate in a live event on 16 and 17 October 2024 in Lausanne, Switzerland. This event will feature pitching sessions, insightful discussions, one-on-one meetings, and ample networking opportunities for both entrepreneurs and investors.

The previous edition of the event attracted over 110 progressive entrepreneurs, high-profile venture and corporate partners, and industry experts. Notable participants included representatives from the State of Vaud and prominent companies such as CRH, Holcim, Cemex, etc. The participating investors collectively contributed to over €22 billion of past investments in more than 2,220 deals. Switzerland led the top countries with selected companies, followed by Belgium and Germany. The programme is hosted by the State of Vaud and partnered with Fustic, Better Building Initiative, unlimitrust, and CleantechAlps.
