Transforming Innovation Procurement in Healthcare

Innovation in healthcare procurement is evolving rapidly, and the InnoHSupport project is leading the way with AGORA, a digital platform designed to connect procurers, suppliers, experts and innovators in a dynamic and structured environment.

AGORA offers a dedicated space where healthcare providers seeking innovative solutions can seamlessly engage with suppliers, investors, and procurement experts. Within AGORA, users can access the Toolkit, a section providing numerous PPI resources tailored to the innovation ecosystem. Developed as part of the InnoHSupport project, this platform is set to become a central hub for matchmaking, networking, and knowledge-sharing in public procurement of innovation (PPI) in healthcare.

What is AGORA?

AGORA is a free, digital platform embedded within the InnoHSupport website, providing easy access to resources, events, and collaboration opportunities. Designed with a user-friendly interface, AGORA ensures seamless navigation and engagement for all stakeholders in the innovation procurement ecosystem. 

The importance of AGORA

Public procurement is a powerful driver of innovation, yet many healthcare procurers struggle to find suitable solutions, while innovative suppliers face barriers to entering procurement processes. AGORA tackles these challenges by:

  • Connecting Innovation Procurement stakeholders – enabling healthcare procurers, suppliers, and investors to connect and collaborate.
  • Providing access to practical knowledge – offering training materials, best practices, procurement methodologies and lessons learnt in the innovation procurement topic.
  • Facilitating matchmaking – linking buyers and suppliers through events, expert networks, and an online showcase.
  • Highlighting funding opportunities – helping stakeholders identify and access relevant open calls and procurement initiatives across Europe.
