European Hydrogen Valleys Investment Forum 2025 Showcases Innovators in Riga

The Tech Tour European Hydrogen Valleys Investment Forum 2025 took place on 4–5 September in Riga, Latvia, bringing together an extraordinary community of investors, innovators, and experts shaping the future of the hydrogen economy.

Highlights from the onsite experience included 31 selected companies pitching across hydrogen production, infrastructure, offtake, aviation, mobility and supply chains; 40+ seasoned venture capital and corporate investors actively engaging in the discussions; over 100 One2One meetings sparking partnerships and new investment opportunities; inspiring exchanges with thought leaders on Europe’s path toward a zero-emissions economy; and a deep dive into Riga’s growing innovation ecosystem.

Of the selected companies, eight were recognised with awards for their outstanding presentations.

Top Presenting Companies

Flexergy develops modular gas handling systems for hydrogen and CO2, integrating three mature technologies into one, reducing Capex and Opex while helping developers and EPCs deliver projects faster and with higher ROI.

H2Pro reinvents green hydrogen production with membraneless electrolysis, enabling hyper-flexible, high-efficiency operations. Backed by Breakthrough Energy Ventures and major global partners, it makes renewable hydrogen affordable and scalable.

Naco Technologies pioneers nano-coatings via high-speed magnetron sputtering, replacing scarce materials like iridium and platinum in electrolyzers and fuel cells. Its pilot factory produces 500,000 hydrogen system components annually.

Nordic Electrofuel decarbonises aviation with Power-to-Liquid technology, producing carbon-neutral synthetic fuels. With projects in Norway, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, it is scaling e-SAF production toward one billion litres.

NORHyWAY will establish a scalable Hydrogen Valley in Mid-Norway, creating a self-sustaining ecosystem across the entire value chain. Moving from pilots to full-scale deployment, it targets 17,350 tonnes of green hydrogen annually, strategically linking Central Europe to the Arctic.

HySPARK is an EU co-funded project advancing Poland’s hydrogen ecosystem for airports and public transport. It develops and verifies hydrogen-powered vehicles at Warsaw’s Chopin Airport, supplied by ORLEN’s hub, while planning replication in Italy and Ireland to support Europe’s hydrogen-ready airports by 2050.

PowerUP Energy Technologies offers hydrogen fuel cell-based power solutions for telecoms, defence, healthcare, and more. Its lightweight, silent, zero-emission extenders revolutionise sustainable energy for critical applications worldwide.

SKYCORP Technologies builds long-endurance hydrogen drones and infrastructure for first responders and infrastructure security, offering scalable, green aerial services that can replace costly helicopters.
