Spotlight on Space Tech: Top Companies at Tech Tour Space 2025 in Bodø

The Tech Tour Space event brought together Europe’s leading innovators, investors, and experts shaping the future of the space economy. With the theme “from the seabed to orbit,” this year’s edition highlighted breakthrough solutions across marine, ground & air, and space technologies.

Event Highlights

The two-day forum offered participants a uniquely interactive experience, blending deep-tech presentations with high-value networking opportunities:

  • 30 selected companies pitching groundbreaking solutions across marine, terrestrial, aviation, and space innovation.

  • 30+ seasoned investors from venture capital, corporate, and institutional backgrounds.

  • 60+ One2One meetings enabling entrepreneurs and investors to explore concrete partnerships.

  • Insightful panels and fireside chats with leading experts on dual-use technology, sustainability, observation, and exploration.

  • A spectacular opening dinner at the Norwegian Aviation Museum, surrounded by historic aircraft and soaring jets overhead.

Top Presenting Companies

From seabed mining robotics to satellite-based Earth observation and orbital services, the Tech Tour Bodø lineup reflected the cutting edge of Europe’s space-tech ecosystem. Among the standout presentations were:

  • ClearSpace is a pioneering in-orbit services and active debris removal company developing technologies for inspection, repair, life-extension, refueling, and disposal of satellites—essentially a “tow-truck” and maintenance service for space to make orbital operations safer and more sustainable.
  • Spacebackend builds a cloud-based, AI-driven platform to streamline payload integration, testing, and remote satellite operations—reducing what is normally years of integration work into days by automating system interoperability and digital twin modelling.
  • Odysseus Space enables fast, secure laser communication between human assets in space and on Earth, aiming to solve the data-bottleneck for satellites and provide high-bandwidth, resilient links across domains including commercial constellations and defence.
  • KAHU is developing the first real-time, crowdsourced radar detection network for ocean vessel tracking by tapping into existing ship radars, capturing radar echoes and streaming them securely via low-bandwidth protocols—helping improve maritime awareness independently of AIS.
  • Nava Space designs and builds next-generation EVA (Extravehicular Activity) spacesuits and astronaut mission systems focused on human-centric design, safety, and mobility tailored for extreme space environments.

Building Europe’s Space-Tech Future

With Europe’s ambition to remain at the forefront of space exploration, dual-use technologies, and environmental monitoring, the Tech Tour Space 2025 investment programme reinforced the importance of collaboration between entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers.

The mix of marine, terrestrial, and orbital solutions under one roof showcased how cross-domain innovation is driving the new space economy—creating opportunities not only in orbit but also for applications on Earth.

Tech Tour Space will continue to serve as the premier platform for investor-ready startups and growth companies shaping the future of space. The investment programme is kindly co-organized by Innovation Norway, KPB (ESA BIC Norway Member), Norwegian Space Cluster, EIC Scaling Club, and supported by ESA BIC Denmark, ESA BIC Finland, and VIS.
