The Tech Tour Forest Bioeconomy 2026 Investment Programme culminated in an event on 5–6 October 2026 in Graz, Austria. It brought together 23 presenting companies, 30+ seasoned investors and facilitated 100+ One2One Meetings.
The programme focused on solutions across Forest & Ecosystem Monitoring, Sustainable Forestry & Wood Tech, Wood-Based & Biobased Construction, Bio-based Materials, Chemicals & Industrial Applications, and Circular Use of Wood, Biomass & Bioenergy.
Five companies were recognised as Top Presenters for their outstanding presentations and innovative technologies advancing the forest bioeconomy.
Top Presenting Companies
AirForestry develops autonomous electric drones for forest thinning, aiming to improve forestry efficiency while reducing environmental impact. Its approach is designed to avoid ground disturbance and selectively remove trees, supporting the growth and long-term value of the remaining forest.
Magmatic Bio develops ultra-selective protein-based biomaterials for extracting and separating critical metals. Its technology targets complex sources, including mine tailings and electronic waste, where conventional chemistry struggles to achieve effective extraction and recycling
PureSurf FlexCo develops high-performance surfactants from renewable bio-based resources. Its solutions provide sustainable alternatives to petrochemical and palm-based surfactants for cleaning, personal care and industrial applications, combining performance, cost efficiency and biodegradability.
Strong by Form develops Woodflow, a biomimetic timber-based composite technology for construction and mobility. Combining material science, computational design and robotic manufacturing, it aims to deliver structural performance comparable to concrete and steel with less weight, material and carbon.
Trapview develops AI-driven pest insect monitoring and forecasting solutions for agriculture and forestry. Its technology combines smart traps with data analysis to help users monitor pest populations and support more timely and targeted pest management decisions.
