Tech Tour will hold the 4th edition of the Russian Tech Tour on the 25-27 April, 2017 to promote innovation and the best investment opportunities in the country. Taking place in Moscow and Kazan, Tech Tour invites all innovative Russian growth SMEs to apply to present their businesses to a group of 50+ international and Russian investors by the 10 of March deadline.

The mission of the event is to position Russia as a leader in the global innovation market and facilitate investment into carefully selected Russian companies. Participants will also get acquainted with Russia’s growing innovation hubs, Moscow and Kazan, through a programme specifically designed to showcase Russia’s favourable conditions for development of export-oriented technology companies, a growing IT market, and development of its industrial sector.

Over the last 10 years Russia’s venture ecosystem has rapidly developed, and since the first Russian Tech Tour in 2004 many of the past presenting companies have gone on to become great success stories and demonstrate the strength of deals made in Russia. These include ABBYY, Acronis, iiko, Ivideon, Parallels and Yandex.

Pavel Korolev, CEO of Pulsar Venture Capital and President of the 4th edition says, “We are glad to welcome an international delegation of investors to Russia yet again. Every edition serves as a platform for effective dialogue between international investors and the best Russian companies. We look forward to participants seeing first-hand the significant innovation centres in the country, while leading funds and market experts will provide insight into a variety of investment opportunities”.

Eligibility Criteria:

A dedicated selection committee will unite leading international investors, senior business leaders, and representatives from development institutes to identify up to 30 high-quality companies to present their businesses at the Russian Tech Tour. Over 300 companies will go through a rigorous review process and be assessed based on the uniqueness of their technology, the strength of their business model, vision, capability to execute on the business plan, and the quality and track record of their management. Companies will be selected out of these sectors; oil and gas, petrochemicals, industry 4.0, industrial IoT, advanced materials, circular economy, energy efficiency, nanotechnology, water technology and smart cities.
