The canton of Vaud is one of the main centers for research and innovation in Switzerland, with the largest academic and technology campus in the country and several research centers as well as internationally known industries, particularly in life sciences, micro-nanotechnologies, ICTs and cleantech. The Office for Economic Affairs and Innovation (SPEI) is the official public organization that supports companies located within the canton of Vaud, especially those involved in sectors of advanced technology and industry. Indeed, SPEI advises entrepreneurs and puts them in contact with organizations that are appropriate to their specific needs. SPEI can also provide direct financial support.

We bring industry, innovators, scientists and regulators together to share insights in practical solutions to enable more sustainable construction. Our focus is on scalable solutions, that have the potential for substantial impact. We take an holistic approach, addressing materials, supply chains, design approaches and building process, covering new buildings, renovations, repurposing and demolition - and recycling.

Future Sustainable Territories, Infrastructure and Cities (FUSTIC) was founded by EPFL and ENAC to promote the societal and ecological transition by championing research in digital technology and sustainable cities, regions and infrastructure. Through a broad range of initiatives – spanning awareness-raising, inspiration, support, education, promotion and awards – the association seeks to put innovative ideas to work for the benefit of citizens, businesses, policymakers, NGOs and researchers. FUSTIC operates as a research and innovation network, connecting members in Switzerland with peers elsewhere in the world. Its projects are currently housed within our ENAC Clusters and EPFL’s research centers.

Initiated by SICPA, the unlimitrust campus is a centre of excellence dedicated to the Economy of Trust. It embodies SICPA’s purpose of enabling trust for governments and their citizens. It is the world's first campus dedicated to the Economy of Trust. Officially opened in 2023, the unlimitrust campus’ mission is to create a trustworthy ecosystem that brings together start-ups, corporations, investors, academics, institutions and other stakeholders in the field of trust technologies to co-create the Economy of Trust. This community of trust innovators will develop, adopt and value technologies, policies as well as practices that guarantee the secure, ethical and sustainable flow of products, services and people, all along their physical and digital journey.

CleantechAlps, Western Switzerland’s cleantech cluster CleantechAlps is the platform dedicated to the development of the clean technology sector in western Switzerland. The region’s gateway to the cleantech field, its purpose is to bring together all the research organisations, industries and services that contribute to the protection and conservation of natural resources and the production of renewable energy.
