Participating investors in our last edition have contributed to well over €110 Billion in total investments.

 

The selection process for Tech Tour Growth Health 2024 is actively underway, as we gear up to produce the 15th edition of the investment programme. A group of 70+ investor, corporate, cluster and expert guests will take part in the programme, culminating in the selection of around 40 top-notch health technology growth companies. The participating startups are selected through a collaborative scouting and review methodology. (See the 2023 selected companies below.)

 

Key insights from Tech Tour Growth Health 2023

Investor commitment: The investors involved have collectively made 3,252 investments in the past, contributing to a total of €111.6 Billion. They comprise 74% investment funds and 26% corporates.

 

Company funding: The selected companies have historically received €957.4 Million from 186 current investors.

 

Top countries by selected companies: The companies had a diverse geographic presence – Switzerland leading with 14 companies, followed by Germany and Israel with 5 and 4 companies, respectively. Belgium and Spain followed closely with 3 companies each. This showcases the broad geographic reach of the programme.

 

Most represented subsectors: The companies spanned several key subsectors, with medical devices leading at 45%. Health platforms accounted for 40%, biotechnology 8%, pharmaceuticals 5%, and social media 3%.

This year’s exciting programme will feature selected companies presenting their solutions at a live event on September 9-11, 2024, in Lausanne, Switzerland. The event will include pitching sessions, keynote speeches, panel discussions, one2one meetings, and extensive networking opportunities.

 

The Programme is hosted by Canton de Vaud and Innovaud and partnered with Medtronic, BioAlps, and BIOPÔLE SA.
