The first edition of the Tech Tour Water Tech 2023 programme, which brought together promising water tech entrepreneurs, investors, experts and coaches, concluded with a two-day event in Aarhus, Denmark, on 10-11 May. The programme was designed for companies developing tech solutions in areas such as pharmaceutical, production, water supply and wastewater, households and house developers, urban flooding and coastal protection, and water management tools. It was particularly beneficial for companies in the seed and series A investment phase, providing them with opportunities to refine their strategies, secure investment, and explore new opportunities and approaches.

In the lead-up to the event, the pre-selected entrepreneurs participated in the Online Academy Sessions on 26-27 April 2023. These sessions offered them a unique opportunity to practice and fine-tune their investor pitches in front of a panel of coaches. The focus was on meeting the expectations of strategic partners and potential investors. Participants received guidance on their presentations, with feedback outlining the strengths and weaknesses of their propositions.

The main event commenced with a networking dinner on the 10th of May, featuring a discussion on the suitability of venture capital for the WaterTech industry. The following day was filled with company pitching sessions, networking opportunities, and one-on-one meetings. The pitching sessions provided a platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative solutions, followed by a Q&A session with industry experts.
