Investor Commitment: The 40 investors involved in this event were a mix of 52% corporates and 48% investment funds. They brought a wealth of experience and resources to the table, having collectively made 1,647 investments and contributing to over €114 billion in total funding. This significant investment history underlined their commitment to driving forward the bio-based sector.
Selected Companies: The chosen companies had already received funding and represented a broad spectrum of the bio-based sector, with significant emphasis on energy, food, and health. The selection included startups from the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, demonstrating the pan-European interest and innovation in this field.
Funding Achievements: Many of these companies were in the early stages of growth, with the majority receiving seed investments. This early-stage support is vital for nurturing groundbreaking technologies that could transform entire industries.
